In late 2024, a prominent federal government organization set out to enhance its culture of strategic succession planning, leadership development, and meaningful relationship-building. To support these ambitious initiatives, they engaged ATS+Partners, a certified minority organization recognized for its executive coaching and leadership enhancement expertise.


The organization established clear objectives to guide its efforts:

ATS+Partners launched the coaching program with an introductory meeting that involved key organizational stakeholders and the coaching team. 14 key participants were carefully paired with 6 coaches according to their preferences. This was followed by introductory calls to foster trust, establish collaborative goals, and outline the process's next steps.


Throughout the coaching sessions, several key themes and goals became apparent:

  • Leadership and Communication Enhancement: Participants focused on elevating their leadership presence, refining communication strategies, and increasing their influence.

  • Strategic Management and Decision-Making: There was a strong emphasis on developing strategic thinking and honing effective decision-making skills.

  • Personal Development and Confidence Building: Many participants wanted to boost their confidence and enhance work performance through personal growth.

  • Professional Positioning and Advocacy: Coaching sessions aimed to help participants effectively position themselves for future opportunities and advocate for their contributions.

  • Building Strategic Relationships: Strengthening teamwork and collaboration emerged as a vital goal.


The coaching program achieved significant successes, with participants reporting substantial improvements in their leadership and communication skills. One individual noted a "180-degree shift" in their mindset and approach since starting the sessions. The program effectively provided participants with essential tools to excel in their current roles and prepare them for future opportunities.


The coaching initiative proved to be a valuable investment for the organization. It enhanced skills and equip participants to face future challenges confidently.
